Princess Anne hospitalized with minor injuries and a concussion

Princess Anne has been hospitalized with minor injuries and a concussion.
The Princess Royal, sister of King Charles III, was admitted to Southmead Hospital in Bristol after an incident on the Gatcombe Park estate on Sunday evening, Buckingham Palace said.
Princess Anne, 73, remains in the hospital as a "precautionary measure for observation" and is expected to make a "full and swift recovery," the palace continued, adding that King Charles has been kept informed and sends his "fondest love and well-wishes to The Princess for a speedy recovery."
Buckingham Palace did not go into details about the incident that caused Princess Anne's injuries. But a palace spokesperson said she is recovering well and in a comfortable condition, but will remain in Southmead Hospital until being advised otherwise by her medical team. Her husband, Timothy Laurence, accompanied her there.
Princess Anne's medical team has said her injuries are consistent with the possible impact from a horse's head or legs.

Princess Anne's engagements for the week have been postponed on doctors' advice, and she will not attend a banquet for the Japanese state visit, per the palace.

The Princess of Wales, who has been battling cancer after undergoing abdominal surgery in January, made her public return at the Trooping the Colour. In a statement, she said she aims to attend "a few public engagements over the summer" but is "not out of the woods yet."
"I am learning how to be patient, especially with uncertainty," Princess Kate said. "Taking each day as it comes, listening to my body, and allowing myself to take this much needed time to heal."
Kate's cancer treatment will remain ongoing for a "few more months," she said.
King Charles has also been diagnosed with an unspecified form of cancer but returned to public duties in April.
