Alexandra "Xandra" Pohl is pulling back the curtain on the influencer world.
The 22-year-old, whose relatable videos have helped her amass nearly 1 million TikTok followers, is still fairly new to the content creator game. Luckily, she's had a lot of fellow influencers to turn to for advice.
"Honestly, it's such a community where I feel like I can go up to any of them and ask them questions or they can come up to me," the University of Miami senior recently told E! News in an exclusive interview. "It's a very open space and I feel like we're all just leaning on each other."
Xandra was catapulted into the influencer world back in October, when she posted her first "Get Ready With Me" video to TikTok. After receiving a positive response—and 2 million views—the DJ decided to embrace the career venture.
"I've learned so much over these past couple months and everyone has been so nice and so welcoming," she shared with E! News. "I could not be more grateful for that."
One part of the influencer lifestyle that many have questions about: Those lavish brand trips (remember Dubai?). While they've made headlines, for Xandra, the opportunities go beyond the lux accommodations—though those are surely a plus.
"I'm so grateful that brands are looking at me and think that I'm a good addition to those trips in the first place," Xandra told E!. "When people contact me and they're like, 'Wanna come?' I'm like, 'You like me?!' It's crazy for me."
And those instances have been nothing short of unforgettable.
"I just think it's an amazing experience where most of the time it's influencers or creators," she added, "we all have the same passion for makeup, skincare, clothes, whatever it might be and we all get to come together and support an amazing brand. And not even just that but get to know the team."
"Every single trip I've been on it's been an amazing experience," she continued. "Not just to just get to meet the brand and all the people that work for the team but also get to meet other people that have the same passions that I have."
Another person she can turn to for advice is her longtime pal and fellow TikTok sensation, Alix Earle.
"We've been best friends since before freshman year even started," Xandra told E!. "It's just been such a crazy experience going through it together and having a best friend that's been there with me all the way through it and I've been there with her."
As Xandra noted, she couldn't imagine this journey without her BFF.
"It's been amazing just to have that kind of support," she said. "She's my best friend, that girl knows everything, it's great."
