Ariana Grande’s boyfriend Ethan Slater is officially divorced.
The Broadway actor and his estranged wife Lilly Jay—with whom he shares a 2-year-old son—have settled their divorce following a sign off from a New York judge, according to court documents obtained by TMZ Sept. 13.
The terms of the settlement—which comes over a year after Ethan filed for divorce in July 2023—are sealed, per the outlet.
Ethan and Lilly began dating in 2012 while they were in high school, before moving to New York City for Ethan to pursue Broadway aspirations.
Ethan—who earned a Tony Award nomination for playing SpongeBob SquarePants—went on to meet Ariana in 2023 on the set of Wicked, the film adaptation of the Broadway show, in which she’s portraying Glinda the Good Witch and he’s playing a Munchkin named Boq.
During filming, Ariana separated from husband Dalton Gomez after two years of marriage and later saw sparks fly with Ethan. A source confirmed to E! News in July 2023 that the “thank u, next” artist had begun dating her costar following her split, noting that Ethan and Ariana "were both separated before they got together."
However, Lilly later spoke out to offer her side of the story, calling her family "collateral damage."
"[Ariana's] the story really," Lilly told Page Six in July 2023. "Not a girl's girl."
Since beginning their relationship, Ariana and Ethan have had few appearances together in public, opting to keep their romance private.
However, fans got a sweet glimpse of the couple in June, when the “Dangerous Woman” singer and her boyfriend attended the Stanley Cup Final in Sunrise, Fla. For the outing, the pair donned hockey jerseys and were all smiles as they watched the Florida Panthers triumph over the Edmonton Oilers.
And the couple aren’t just attending events together—they’re also cheering each other on.
In October, Ariana supported Ethan during previews of the Spamalot revival in New York City where he portrayed The Historian/Prince Herbert. That same winter, the duo continued spending time together, even going to dinner with the “Positions” singer’s family.
And one Grande family member in particular is especially fond of Ethan.
"I love him," Ariana’s brother Frankie Grande told TooFab in June. "He's a very sweet guy. Honestly, I've always just said this, all I want is for my sister to be happy. When she's happy, I'm happy. So, I'm very happy."
